One of the critics of Aaker's theory was Geuens who, in 2009, generated (Geuens, Weijters, & De Wulf, 2009) a set of five different brand personality factors, measured by twelve items that, unlike that of Aaker, included only personality traits, and who had more affinity with the Big Five model.
