"Why not?" has always been my philosophy. Good call. You'll never know what could have been unless you go for it. Always go for it.

I purposely position myself on the couch so that our legs are touching while we are playing the game. A couple times I shift positions, and as I do that I make it so that my arm brushes up against her. At some point I feel the back of her hand touching my leg, and it stays there for some time. I then position my arm so that my elbow is lightly pushing up against her stomach.


Don't ask me why, but when I was reading this, all I could do is picture a special needs child curled up on her lap.

At this point the game has gone on for about an hour or so (no pun intended :-p).


The game of cop a feel like a "special" kid? If you're going to touch her, then touch her.

I get up to go to the bathroom and tell her to save my spot. When I get back, there is a guy sitting there who tells me he has seniority over me. I get kinda pissed and ask who has more publications. He got pretty shaken by the question; clearly he has none. Anyway I don't push things too far; I don't want to show that I have been too emotionally effected by this.


"I was sitting there" followed by a stone cold stare usually works for me. But then again, I'm a bigger guy, and most men would rather not risk conflict with me. Not sure of how big you are.
