Amb King is the former Special Envoy for Foreign Policy and a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. He is also the author of five books, numerous book chapters and articles on international relations and foreign policy. He holds a Ph.D. in international relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a B.A. from Brigham Young University. https://dailyuploads.net/st35e1qzaawj has taught courses on foreign policy and international relations at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

In his role as the Special Envoy, Dr. King is tasked with developing a broad-based, bipartisan approach to the country’s foreign policy challenges, including strengthening our alliances and engagement with key countries around the world. He also works closely with the Ambassadors and their staffs on foreign policy issues of interest to the United States.

Prior to joining the American Enterprise Institute, he was chief of staff to Representative Tom Lantos (D-California) and a Democratic staff director on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He has also served as a White House Fellow and assistant director of research at Radio Free Europe in Munich, Germany.
