If you look back at Hemingray print ads from the early 1900's, the illustrations of their insulators had been pretty detailed and articulate. At a minimum, they have been constantly embossed with "Hemingray", and ordinarily showed the threads. For a sign advertising "screw glass insulators", surely they would have shown that feature in the illustration like they did in their advertisements. Several diverse types of lamps are becoming produced, such as wall sconces, steampunk table lamps, and ceiling hanging lamps. Whilst these make a neat conversation piece and are a fantastic example of "upcycling" for insulators, the insulators themselves are thought of to be mechanically altered due to the drilled hole.
