A Thai lady has been arrested, accused of operating a face mask scam that defrauded an American firm out of 47 million baht. The girl stands accused of fraud underneath false pretences and utilizing false paperwork. The United States-based firm ABA USB Corp filed the complaint towards the girl, alleging they had entered into an agreement to buy 1.3 million face masks at a worth of just over 47 million baht. That value works out to about 36 baht per masks. The deal was stated to have been made between March and May of 2020 and the company mentioned in their grievance that they paid for every little thing but have yet to receive a single mask, prompting them to contact the Thai police for assistance.
